3:00 PM to 6:00 PM

Audrey Robbins from Pan-Handlers Kitchen Supply will be joining us with prepared samples of Greek Style Grilled Chops. We’ll start sharing those about 4:00 PM.  There will be a supply of  Lamb, Goat, Jelly and Jam and some Cranberry Sauce for the holidays.

Full Moon Apiary will be with us with their full line of honey and wax products. Becky is still not feeling well but her knowledgeable daughter will be filling in again to answer all your bee related questions. Katherine is a Master Beekeeper. She has been handling the bees and hives since she was a young child.

Fresh Organic Cranberries Arriving Soon

No, Cranberries don’t grow in Florida, however, every year we order some from a farm in Maine. They won’t arrive in time for this week’s market. They come by UPS and ship on Monday. They will be here at the ranch sometime this Thursday. We sell them fresh for $8.00 a pound, and I make the Cranberry Sauce with my secret recipe and will have a sample here for you to test. If you can’t make it to Lake Ella during the week, Turkey Hill Farm sells them fresh at Market Square.

Did you miss getting your lamb for the freezer?

Whole lambs for sale | There three left of the eleven lambs available last week. These are naturally raised live lamb here at the ranch.  Lambs from Hounds River Farm, Hahira, Georgia are pasture raised without growth chemicals and antibiotics. You can purchase the lamb of your choice and we will deliver it to Johnston’s Meat Locker for processing to your specifications. We can help you make decisions about which cuts you want and size of packages. Contact us for details.

Sheila the lamb is doing great!

I just wanted to update everyone that our little lamb that survived the predator attack is doing well. She is a little spoiled and prefers people to her flock. While the other twenty ewes wonder all over the farm looking for fresh grass, Sheila is often hanging around the house looking for attention. She and the two abandoned goat kids will be on loan to different families during the upcoming holidays. They will be part of nativity scenes. I hope they leave some hay in the manger!
