HOURS:
Saturday, October 11, 10 am—3 pm
Sunday, October 12, 12—3 pm

We began our family farm in 2001, and it continues to evolve… different crops, different livestock… We are continuously working to find the best balance for our family and for our land.

Golden Acres Ranch is situated just north of the small town of Monticello on forty-three acres of pastures and groves. It has a couple of swimming holes and one of the largest Mayhaw ponds in the region. We grow blueberries to make jam and have a persimmon grove. Come see how the persimmons are doing—it’s a good crop this year!

We raise miniature Tennessee Fainting Goats to sell to families for pets, weed control or breeding. We also raise wool sheep for fiber products. We maintain our herds and flocks at sustainable levels, and they are pasture-raised naturally, without pesticides or hormones, in a non-stressed environment.

And let’s not forget the chickens and ducks! These semi-free-ranging poultry provide us with eggs and entertainment! We have 20+ resident Guinea Fowl and sell keets in the fall. Recently, we added peacocks!

The ranch is a beautiful venue for education, and the sale of food, art and other products from nearby farms and artisans. Along with our usual farm activities, we have a boarding kennel. We are also a Harvest Host and HipCamp site!

We’re proud to be among the original participants of the Annual Regional Farm Tour, now in its 18th year! We invite you to tour our farm and visit the Country Store, where you’ll find goodies and local crafts.

DIRECTIONS:
From the courthouse roundabout in Monticello, head north on Highway 19. Go 4 miles to Barnes Road (a large sign on the right). Turn right and travel 3/4 of a mile to our drive—follow the signs for parking.
