Farm 2 Table Gourmet Dining

A celebration of local, natural farming and cooking

704 Barnes Road, Monticello, FL 32344

Folk Singer Caleb Vaughn

Caleb will start the evening with some instrumentals in the background. During desert and coffee plan to sit back and join him in song. He wrote this modest bio for us…

Caleb“I am an aspiring folksinger, born in Adel, Georgia. Raised in Nashville, Georgia. Been livin’ in Monticello, Florida since I was about fifteen years old. My two favorite performers are Mississippi John Hurt and Woody Guthrie. I’ve played harmonica in a couple of bands in Tallahassee like folk group “Devil’s Kin”. I have met and played with the Ronstadt family a couple of times in Maryland at “Common Ground on the Hill”.  Most of the songs that I like to sing are cowboy songs, work songs, children songs, ballads, ol’ gospel, spirituals, sad songs, happy songs, funny songs, songs about trains, moonshine, buffalo skinners, crawdads and chicken. Some songs ya might know and mostly songs ya might not have ever heard before. So if ya do know them, please sing along as loud as ya can!”

Arrive at five for a hayride tour of the farm.

The hayride goes all day long for the tour and last year several folks that attended the dinner asked if there was a tour for them. So this year is it part of the program. While it may still be a little bumpy – it is a hayride you know – it will also be a little classy. The hay will be covered to keep you clean and unitchy (made up word). It will give you a chance to see the farm layout and all the cute sheep and goats without having to move from your perch.

The menu is still in progress but there is talk of rabbit bites, quail, roast pig on a spit and lots of local vegetables in salads and casseroles. Of course, we’ll be doing the persimmon bread, pecan and pumpkin pies again. Local cooks and chefs will prepare everything. We hope you will join us for this lovely outdoor evening combining fine dining, live entertainment and beautiful scenery while supporting your local sustainable farming and food community.

Tickets are available at New Leaf Market Co-op (buy online or ask at the service desk) or contact us here at Golden Acres Ranch. The all- inclusive ticket (food, entertainment, coffee and tea and complimentary glass of wine) costs only $65.00. Seating is limited – don’t miss your chance to enjoy this special meal!
