Our first real crop of persimmons is getting ready to harvest. We’re selling these as a U-Pick crop at $2 / pound.
We have both the astringent and non-astrigent kind. The non-astringent kind is shaped like an apple and is ready to eat from the tree. The astringent kind is heart-shaped and is better for cooking. People use persimmons in jellies, drinks, pies, curries and puddings.
Enjoy the fresh air harvesting food then ask for a tour of the ranch. Pet goats and puppies and visit the Country Store if you want.
