The twin myotonics (fainting goats) that were born April 9, 2011 left Golden Acres Ranch to go Lady Bug Farm in Tallahassee. It’s a wonderful place and they’ll receive excellent care. Jennifer and her son Jackson are lovers of all animals.
During our Mayhaw Festival our grand-daughter Hanna along with friends Carly and Abby named them Jolly and Rancher. I think Jennifer and Jackson are considering changing them to Lady Bug and June Bug. Whatever their names they are cute and sweet. These girls will remain small since their momma, also a Hanna, is smaller than most and the sire will be registered as a Mini-Myotonic when he is three years old.
It is hard to let these darlings go but we’ll say “Bye babies. We’ll miss you.”
Note from Christine: Jennifer, the owner of Lady Bug Farms uses a Twitter account (!) to keep people up to date with her farm. By clicking the link above, you will go there and see her posts. Twitter is a blog, except you have to limit what you say to 140 characters and/or images. You can see more photos of the twins and their beautiful dogs by clicking on the “twitpic.com” links in her posts. I love to see earth-friendly people using the internet.
