Life on the Ranch – and mine – is about to change!
This is Christine Golden, Bobbie and Fred’s daughter, website manager and soon to be novice Ranch Hand. On February 1st, I will be driving from California with my dog, Bailey, my new Jeep, and a small U-Haul trailer to join my parents at Golden Acres.
I am so excited! I lived in south Florida for 30 years until 1999. Now I’ve lived in Cali for 12 or so years, which was a childhood dream come true. Lately, I’ve been longing to return, and so it will be!
Since I’m going to start being a regular contributor to the Farm News, I thought I would begin by introducing myself and posting about the journey to my new life, including my goodbyes to California. The photo above is me and Bailey in front of the fire on this New Year’s weekend.
I’ve been packing and sorting all day, uploading all my old music CDs to iTunes. (Been wanting to do that for 15 years!) Everything is in disarray now, but it’s all going according to plan. Now is the perfect time to implement Marie Kondo’s method The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up: The Japanese Art of Decluttering and Organizing. I’ve actually been de-cluttering for 2 years now, and this will be my final swoop.
More to come.
Do you remember that we sell Golden Blend Feed? We keep the feed and goat minerals in stock. Dog food is usually available and we can order products for alpaca, llama, horse and dairy livestock as needed. Contact Bobbie or Fred for to see what’s in stock.
