Spend three days immersing yourself in learning (or reviewing) the basics of weaving.
Learn how to…
- wind a warp
- dress the loom
- read a draft
- plan a project.
After this workshop, you’ll be ready to continue your weaving adventure independently. Designed for beginner level but advanced beginners will not be bored.
Class size is limited to 6 people!
The focus of this class is to learn the process rather than to produce a product, though you’ll weave mug rugs and a sampler of weave structures in class.
Small ( 20″ ) looms will be provided or you can bring your own. If you work on your own loom you’ll have a third project on it to finish at home.
includes yarns for the first exercise
Dates/Time: Jan 18, 19, 20 from 10-4 each day.
Location: Golden Acres Ranch

Ramona is an award-winning textile artist who resides here in north Florida. She has been fascinated by textiles her entire life. She learned to weave in 1994 and began creating her own fabrics and exploring color and its interaction with structure.
Her work has been shown in galleries through the Southeast, with pieces in private collections across the U.S. and in several foreign countries.
Teaching is one more way in which she can share her passion for weaving. You can learn all about her at her website.
