Guinea Keets for Sale

Baby Guineas are are available. We’re selling them for $10 each. They grow into quite useful farm yard and ranch animals; pest control, alarm systems and entertainment at the very least.

Call or email to order your keets today. We only have a dozen or so.

Their nests are not always easy to find, but we’ve managed to harvest a couple dozen eggs. We purchased an incubatore, which turns the eggs under the heat lamps, and set them up in there. After several days, they started hatching! We’ve improvised a brooder on the back porch where we keep an old-fashioned bathtub. They need to be at 95 to 98 degrees, with the temperature slowly lowered each week. At 3 to 4 weeks, they can take normal daytime temps but need heat at night.

If you don’t have a tub, use a large plastic bin. You’ll need the following supplies:

  • large plastic bin
  • pee pads for lining
  • heat lamp with red light
  • thermometer
  • small waterer
  • chick feed
  • screen cover (at about 2 weeks of age)

We find that they grow slowly and need to be confined until about 4 months of age. Once they’re big enough, they can range free and will return to their coop or home each evening. Some of ours sleep in the chicken coop. The older adults have picked out an oak tree by the coop and fly up into it every night.
