Busy time!
Friday, December 7 from 4 PM to 10 PM is the Around-the-Downtown Christmas in Monticello. Lots going on with Santa and all the stores gussied up for the holidays. The local shops will be open late and there will be plenty of vendors to see. I’ll be giving out jelly samples at Rosemary Tree. Stop by to visit and enjoy a treat.
O’Toole’s Herb Farm is having its Christmas Open House on Saturday, December 8th. I’ll be there. We’ll have our variety of locally produced jellies and jams, our daughter Marcia’s grapefruit and tangerines from her newly acquired grove and daughter-in-law Fran’s handmade wreaths. Ernie will be there too! Click HERE to download their flyer.
Sunday, December 9th is the Camellia Garden Circle annual Christmas party here at Golden Acres. We have the traditional gift exchange where we draw numbers and get to grab gifts from each other. I’m going out shopping today to find a Chia Pet. We’ll see how many read this newsletter because they will know what is in the package from me.
This is a great garden club both educational and fun. We also sell Atlas Garden Gloves as part of our ongoing fundraiser for the Jefferson County Extension 4-H. We send a local child to camp every year.
So for all of you needing something for that friend that likes to garden (a euphemism for weeding) these gloves are just the thing. They are brightly colored so you find them on the ground. I need several pair since they are always some place that I’m not. We’ll be selling them at the Around-the-Downtown Christmas and at O’Toole’s. You can always contact me and I’ll get them to you.
