Farm to Table Gourmet Dinner  |  The Chef”s are lined up and the menu is taking shape.  Kim at Tupelo’s Bakery and Cafe will be using pork from Heavenly Homestead out of Lloyd. Brian from Sage here in Monticello will be preparing leg-of-lamb and Silvester of Rancho Grande Mexican Restaurant will be preparing barbecue goat. Both the lamb and goat are from right here at Golden Acres Ranch. Johnston’s Meat Market will be presenting the grass fed beef from Deep Roots Meats out of Greenville.

The appetizer table will be filled with boiled peanuts, cream cheese topped with jelly, pears with honey dressing, deviled eggs and more. While the dessert table will be set with pumpkin and pecan pies, some mayhaw cake and persimmon pudding, or maybe it is persimmon bread.

Local farmers are raising the vegetables for us right now: sweet potatoes, okra, field peas, squash, greens and sprouts.

Then there is the complimentary glass of wine from Monticello Vineyard & Winery, white or red, to suit your taste. There will be coffee and tea available. The tables will be decorated with candles from Full Moon Apiary and they’ll provide the honey for the poppy seed dressing.
